Linescapes 2017
A collaborative installation by Frances Marr and Carolyn Marr
A collaborative installation by sisters Frances and Carolyn Marr, was created at RSPB Geltsdale's gallery, under Tindale Fell in the North Pennines, Cumbria.
The starting point was lines in the landscape, using locally-found materials - including river grit, peat, bracken and heather - combined with clay.
Linescapes was at the gallery from September to November 2017. It was recreated in the Front Room, Brampton in 2018 and in Salisbury Arts Centre in 2021.
